What is Contract Education?

Contract Education is the delivery of customized performance-based training, assessment and consulting services to local employers.  Contract Education offers day, evening and weekend training — developed to meet your company’s needs. This cost effective approach allows you to select the date(s), the number of hours and the training location.

To compete in today's economy, a company's workforce  must be dynamic, efficient, and flexible. Technology has raised the skill level required for nearly all occupations.  Employers are finding significant skill gaps that hinder the performance of their workforce.   Sometimes the solutions are simple and straight-forward to where the employer has easily defined the training needs.  Other times, the causes of the problems are less clear.  Before spending unnecessary funds on training that may or may not cure the problem, some employers choose to utilize a performance consultant to ensure that the proper training is being sought and that the training is transferred to improved on-the-job performance.

Contract Education has access to statewide resources including a pool of performance consultants for a multitude of different industries.  Performance consulting can cover a wide range of activities from simple project scoping through an extensive needs assessment.

PERFORMANCE CONSULTING

Project Scoping - This information gathering process explores the causes and solutions to your business problems.

Needs Assessment - A more in-depth analysis which includes identification of actual performance, optimal performance and the solutions for bridging the gap between the two.

Occupational-Specific Skills Assessments - Through testing, interviewing, and surveys, individuals' skill levels are identified as they relate to the job requirements.  This steps assists in defining the current state of performance of the employee.

Transfer Strategies - Acquisition of knowledge is only a single step in performance based training.  Transferring the knowledge into enhanced performance is key to having a successful workforce.  Both training and non-training solutions may need to be implemented to reach the optimal performance of your workforce.

Evaluation and Impact - The measurement of the results of training may often need to be documented for validating the benefits of the solutions implemented.
