Shasta College is a comprehensive California Community College offering academic programs in vocational-technical, university transfer and community services.  The main campus is two miles northeast of Redding and the current enrollment is 11,000 students.  Twenty-two hundred students are served at various locations in Tehama County.  Shasta College has served the tri-county area for over fifty years and has a reputation of excellent academic quality within the state.

Shasta College currently leases property on Lincoln Street from the City of Red Bluff as well as property located in adjacent communities.  On March 5, 2002, a bond measure was passed by the voters that provides for funds to acquire property and construct a new campus in central Tehama County to replace the rented and temporary facilities as well as to expand the curriculum offerings for technology-related occupations.
