Measure A was approved by
the voters in the Shasta-Tehama-Trinity Joint Community College District on
March 5, 2002, authorizing $34 million in general obligation bonds for capital
improvements.
Dr. Douglas M. Treadway,
former Superintendent/President, stated, On behalf our Governing Board, staff, and
students, thank you for supporting Measure A. Special appreciation goes to
those who financially contributed to the campaign. Our campaign volunteers are
also those unsung heroes, who contributed with donation of their personal time
and effort. Also, my personal gratitude to the Governing Board members,
who had the foresight and vision to place a measure on the ballot to upgrade and
build for the next generation.

This bond web site will
provide you with updates through the upcoming projects and construction.
Two Site Selection
Advisory Committees were formed (Site
Selection Committee Link) one for the Interstate-5
Technology Center to be constructed in Tehama County and one for the
Health Sciences Center in downtown Redding. The University Center will be
constructed on the Shasta College campus located at 11555 Old Oregon Trail.
Upon certification
of the canvass of votes at its April 10, 2002, Board Meeting, the District
appointed its Citizens Oversight Committee.
