  Our Mission

The mission of the Center for Science, Industry, and Natural Resources is to serve the needs of students, faculty, staff, alumni, industry, and the communities of Northern California by creating and sustaining an environment for learning that provides opportunities in technical, undergraduate education, and leadership.

Welcome

Welcome to the web pages of the Center for Science, Industry and Natural Resources.  This is one of the most diverse centers on campus.  Our Center includes all science courses and programs, as well as vocational programs in Agriculture, Equipment Operations, Horticulture, Industrial Technology and Natural Resources.  We have an excellent faculty and staff that work to ensure our most important customer, the student, has every opportunity to receive a quality education and achieve their educational goals.

We feel our diversity is our strength.  We not only provide skills people need to obtain immediate employment in many different vocational fields, but we also provide important transfer courses to prepare students for a four-year university.  We are also working on curriculum revisions, new programs, new online courses and other innovative techniques to better serve the people of Shasta, Tehama, and Trinity Counties.  This includes developing modular courses in Construction, Waste Water Treatment and Natural Resources, along with a more outcome-based approach that stresses skill development through performance assessments.  Education is changing rapidly and we are working hard to not only keep up with the changes but to be the leaders in developing those changes in order to make the education more meaningful to you.  Please take advantage of our diverse offering of classes and programs and let us know if we can do anything else to help you.
