Physiology 1

A study of cellular, tissue, and organ function in the human body.  A college level course surveying the elements of Physiology in eleven organ systems and how homeostasis is maintained.  Human physiology will be presented in a lecture format with discussion, computer simulations, and other aids to emphasize the relevant concepts.  Required for nursing and dental hygiene.  Recommended for physical education, general science, and allied health majors.  Some previous knowledge of anatomy and chemistry is helpful, but not required for success in the course.  Students may take physiology lab concurrently for after completion of PHY1.
