Campus Service Officer

 
  The Shasta College Security Department is currently accepting applications for

CSO

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Enrolled in 9 or more units at Shasta College
2. Maintain a 2.0 GPA
3. Ability to demonstrate clear evidence of a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, staff, and the community.

Position Description:

Under direction of Campus Security, the Campus Service Officer provides a wide variety of service to the Shasta College Community.  CSO's escort students, staff, and visitors who feel unsafe to their vehicles, and/or buildings on campus; give information, direct the public, assist with vehicle jump-starts, vehicle lock-outs, report theft, vandalism, unsafe acts, accidents, disturbances, and property damage to Campus Security.  Serve as Surveillance Officer on campus; report parking violations, traffic infractions, education code violations (alcohol/ illegal drugs on campus), Use 2-way radios, and communicates directly with Campus Security by radio.  Patrols campus buildings and grounds on foot or by vehicle.
