WHERE IS MY TEACHER?

FINAL EXAM, SPRING 2007

In Four Sections: 450 points total

1. Log into WebCT and take the quiz on "A Worn Path."  Ten questions:  50 points total.

A Worn Path (Final)

2. For the MLA quiz portion of the final; we will have 25 questions in WebCT.  Be prepared to answer detailed T or F questions about the MLA handout we have used this semester.  The questions are worth 4 points each (100 points total).

MLA (Final)

3.  Create a bibliography from raw material.  Periods, colons, and parenthesis count as serious points!  Use the information in this link to create a bibliography.  Print out your bibliography and turn in to me before you continue with the next section.  100 points total.

4.  Research component.  In Ebscohost and/or on the Internet, read whatever you can find on the Satori rescue, and then write at least 500 words about what you think of the incident told in the book as related to information you've discovered elsewhere.

bullet Did Junger do a good job of telling the story of the Satori
bullet What might he have done differently?
bullet What does the new information you have found tell you about how proper and effective research must be conducted?

Cite information you have found in your essay, and do create a small works cited for this portion as well.  However, because internet and database citations are much more complicated, for this portion of the final you are allowed to use reference material to create a correct bibliography.  200 points, this portion of the final.
