Storming and Norming WITH Syllabus Review.  Get to know people in your row, and get a section of the syllabus to discuss and explain to the rest of the class.

Log in to your email and send me a note.   (If you don't have an email address, you will get one now!  If you have problems ask a neighbor for help -- or I will help you.)

1.1 In-Class Writing:  Choose your subject; complete this sentence:  "I am happy/unhappy with recent events here/abroad/in Redding/at work/at home . . . ."  Include reasons and examples.  Write for 20 minutes without stopping.  Either turn this in to me, or email it to yourself to finish at home and turn in on Wednesday.

1.2.  Library Assignment  Do a brief initial search in class, collect info on five books to use in your bibliography.  We will do the bibliography in class on Wednesday.  Please complete steps one through five on your own as part of your homework.

HOMEWORK

Get your books and do your reading.  Remember, there may be a pop quiz on your reading any day you come to class!
