Other Policies
All new employees are required to show proof of freedom from tuberculosis and
to be fingerprinted.
Individuals who hold Class A California Driver's Licenses and who are
required, as part of their District employment, to transport fifteen (15) or
more passengers and/or to drive certain motor vehicles are subject to random
drug testing.
In compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988, Shasta College wants
to make its employees aware that the unlawful possession, use, manufacture,
distribution, or dispensing of a controlled substance in the workplace is
prohibited.
Use of tobacco products on college-owned or leased property is permitted only
in special designated areas which are set aside for smoking purposes and are
removed from all buildings and major pathways.
