Get up!”

“Now!”

“I don’t want to.”

“So?

Five people are due here

in less than two hours.”

“It’s cold!  It’s dark!

My shoulders ache!

My body is too tired!”

“Get out of this bed;

get dressed;

clear the table of all the clutter;

set out plates;

make the coffee;

feed the dogs;

walk the dogs...”

“Oh shut up!

I’m up!”
