SHASTA COLLEGE
LOCATION

Shasta College is located in scenic northern California and is
surrounded by lakes, forests and recreational areas for hiking,
skiing and boating. The campus is approximately 195 miles north of
Sacramento and approximately 90 miles south of the State of Oregon.
Interstate Highway 5 (I-5) is the major freeway system that leads
you into the city of Redding. Once you arrive in Redding the college
is approximately 10 minutes north-west of Route 299.

The campus is located on approximately 336 acres that includes
classrooms, a student center, dormitories and a college farm and
fire station. Students will also enjoy the outstanding views of both
Mount Lassen and Mount Shasta from the campus. Our campus is well
maintained and our grounds are very attractive which makes it a very
enjoyable place to relax and meet new friends.
Mild temperatures in the surrounding foothills provides for a
moderate year-round climate. Student can enjoy the outdoors
throughout the school year and many of our recreational areas are
within easy driving distance.
The city of Redding provides inexpensive bus service to the college
and throughout the town and surrounding areas. There is also alternative transportation
available in the area that includes train service and a commuting
airport that provides air service to San Francisco, Sacramento,
Portland and Seattle.
