As I see it, our job at the Shasta College Foundation is to “add our light to the sum of light.”  Typically foundations exist to support and enhance the college's mission.  It is my hope that this foundation will go deeper and further and become an activist organization of not only support, but also vitality and creativity.  Education is our calling and to that end, it is my belief that the foundation will become a clear and powerful voice for Shasta College and education in our community.

My higher education began at a Community College, and it was there where my life changed. I am a strong believer in the roles we play throughout our lives; as both givers and receivers.
