Other things I'm involved with . . .

Humanities 304:  Film course featuring independent and international films, taught in conjunction with English instructor Leo Fong and other campus colleagues.  Begun in spring 2001.

Distinguished Authors Series:  Organizer of this event in 2002 and 2003. 

Title III Grant:  Director of Activity 1 from 2000-2006.  Project Director for the 2005-2006 school year.

International Education:  Worked as acting international ed coordinator for Shasta College from 1998-2000.  Started the Intercultural Club and served as the Faculty Advisor for two years.

Academic Senate:  Center rep to the Shasta College Academic Senate since 1999. Secretary from 2000-2006.  President for 2006-2007 school year; past President 2007-2008.

Distance Ed Committee:  Co-founded the Distance Ed Committee at Shasta College in Spring 2002.  Co-chaired committee from 2002-2006.  Representative on committee for 2006-2007 school year.

Committee work:  Serve(d) on many other committees including several tenure committees, the Water Treatment Grant Advisory Committee, the Web Advisory Committee, the Environmental Advisory Committee, etc.

Professional Work:  Have published articles and reviews and have given many presentations on literary subjects.  Most recent non-literature related work is an article on evaluating online classes.  Most recent published work on literature is an article on evaluation of online teaching.
