Dr. Nigro's Online English 1C Course
English 1C is a transfer-level course that focuses on critical thinking skills, close textual analysis, and expository and argumentative writing. Students apply critical thinking skills in reading non-fiction and fiction and in writing a variety of essays. This section of English 1C is the online equivalent of the rigorous on-campus version of English 1C taught each semester at Shasta College. It is conducted completely online using Angel courseware. Because it is a summer class, the course material will be compressed into a 6-week format. On average, be prepared to do lots of reading, several online quizzes, and a paper a week.
