There are two recurring
themes in my art work.
One concerns the notion of
shimmer and transparency, alluding to the ideal of transcendence. Be
they reflections on water, from a window, or through diaphanous substance,
the subject matter is but a vehicle to evoke the ethereal. It is a
link to the larger scheme of things, beyond the everyday reality to the
realm of spirit.
I have also been exploring
the social landscape, the detritus and traces of human life which may be
revelatory clues to those mysteries --ourselves.
