If you have already studied English, and plan to take
college classes, you may be eligible for the "Academic
Program". These courses can enhance your success in
college. To begin, you need to fill out an application for
admission to Shasta College. Call the Assessment Office at 530 - 242-
7751to arrange to take the ESL COMPASS exam. From this test, the
college will tell you which class you can take. For any questions regarding

We offer the
"Non-Academic Program" for people who have never studied
English, or do not understand it well. To begin, call the ESL office

ihuckman@shastacollege.edu
and make an appointment to take the ESL test. After you take the test,
the college will tell you which course you should take.
