History
EOPS was established in 1970 by the California State Legislature and the Board of Governor's. It is administered by the California Community College System’s Office to assist students who traditionally might not have attended higher education.
OUR GOAL is to support, guide, recruit, and retain students who need assistance based on educational disadvantage and low income status and to increase the number and percentage of these students who:
• Complete their chosen educational objectives
• Become employed in their chosen career
• Transfer to four year institutions after completing educational programs at community colleges
