Campus Employment Opportunities
There are significant employment opportunities on campus for students attending Shasta
College. the best time of the year to find a campus job is early in the Fall or
Spring
semesters. There are primarily three types of campus jobs:
- Regular Campus
Jobs are jobs on campus that are funded by individual departments that need students. You
must be enrolled in at least nine (9) units. Not all on campus jobs are posted on
the Job Board. For the majority of on campus employment opportunities, it is
best to contact the departments directly.
- Financial Aid
Federal Work Study Program is available to students that are eligible for the program. Apply with the Shasta College
Financial Aid office in room 108.
- Cal WORKS Work Study Program:
A program for students enrolled in the Cal WORKS program.

State Personnel Board
constitutionally established in 1934, the State Personnel Board (SPB) is
responsible for California's Civil Service System. SPB ensures that the
State's civil service system is free from political patronage and that
employment decisions are based on merit. The SPB provides a variety of
recruitment, selection, classification, appellate, goal setting, training and
consultation services to state departments. The SPB also promotes efficiency
and economy in state government and is a leader in efforts to improve and
