| CLINIC INFORMATION The dental hygiene clinic is open to
the public. Students require people of all ages to complete their academic
requirements, thus diversity benefits the educational program.
New patients are recommended to stop in
on a walk-in basis during clinic hours for a screening so that they can be
placed in the appropriate clinic session.
The services provided in the clinic are
limited to the dental hygiene scope of practice. Services include:
scaling, root planing, polishing, x-rays, pit and fissure sealants, among
others.
The clinic charges a nominal fee for
services that allows for access to care for all consumers. Additionally,
the clinic accepts those on Denti-Cal.
Those requiring dental services are
referred to a dentist in the community.
All services are FREE to enrolled
Shasta College Students with proof of enrollment.
All services are performed by dental
hygiene students under the supervision of licensed dental professionals.
