The Colleague implementation is
full steam ahead. The first
schedule, Summer 2003, has been input and is being proofed.
Minor hurdles arose during the process but were quickly resolved.
We still have a long way to go in the curriculum building process
but we are confident that we are up for the challenge.
The Student Profile Conversion has
been completed. Included in
this conversion were elements like residency, start term, latest term, and
major. We are now working on the Credit History Conversion which,
when complete, will be the foundation for creating electronic transcripts
and degree audit.
With the New Year comes new
challenges; we have scheduled a ‘Mock Registration’ for the last week
in January. This means we have a lot to do before then.
Admissions and Records have already begun building the various
scenarios for testing and with the completion of the summer schedule we
can register our mock students on a systems set up exactly as it will be
the day we go Live. We also
have some consulting set up for the first part of January which will
further our expertise and knowledge prior to the mock.
The
Student System Initial Operation Expectations listing is also now
available via the web at http://docushare.shastacollege.edu/dscgi/ds.py/Get/File-13536/Initial_Operation_Expectations_-_Revised.doc.
