Family Courses Taught Interests Reading in Progress History Links Curt Rice, reared on the farmlands of North America, earned his B.A degree with a major in history from Aurora University in 1970. He received his M.A degree in library science from Northern Illinois University in 1973 and his M.A. degree in church history from Wheaton College in 1979. He earned his third M.A., in modern European history, with a minor in American history, from Northern Illinois University in 1989. Mr. Rice has also completed additional graduate studies at the University of Manitoba. He has taught history at several Canadian colleges and is currently a librarian and teacher at Simpson University. Mr. Rice has served as an adjunct professor at Shasta College since 1999. Mr. Rice met his wife, Judy, at church, and they have been married since 1973. They have two grown sons, one of whom is married. Jeff and Aaron both work as computer specialists at Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois. Jeff is the university's network manager. Aaron is head of the university's Computer Repair Department and teaches in the Computer Science Department. During the Spring 2008 semester, Curt Rice is teaching two sections of the first half of American History (Hist17A). In the past he has taught both Hist 17A and Hist 17B in the PACE program. He has also taught History 17B by Interactive Television (ITV). Antebellum and Reconstruction periods; Gaullism; Vichy France Keep informed of the books that Curt Rice is reading. He is currently reading the following books: Edvard Radzinsky, Stalin, 1996; Elizabeth Prentiss, Little Lou's Sayings and Doings, 1868.
