Opportunities

Shasta College graduates with a Family Studies A.S. Degree will be prepared  to enter the Human Services field in many different paraprofessional positions.  These include, but are not limited to:
  • Federal, State and County Agencies
  • Numerous Family Support Agencies
  • Children's Service Agencies
  • Adult Service Agencies
  • Senior Programs
  • Recovery Centers
  • Education Providers

Additionally, Shasta College graduates with an A.S. degree in Family Studies will be prepared, with additional coursework, to transfer to a four-year college or university  for a Bachelor of Social Work degree.
