This curriculum is designed to enable the student to
develop an understanding of the field of records management - the criteria by
which records were created, stored, retrieved, and disposed of; clear-cut rules
for alphabetic, numeric, subject, and geographic filing; the foundation of
records storage methods; and principles for the selection of records personnel,
equipment, and supplies.

OAS 51 with a grade of C or higher, OAS 91 is not necessary. If you
are proficient in keyboarding, you may be able to take OAS 91 in lieu of OAS
51. See your counselor if you think you might qualify.
