Note: Students taking the Internet format of this course must have access to and a working knowledge of the Internet and Windows.
Class Hours: 54 lecture total (when offered in the Distance Education format, hours total 162)
Description: A course designed to develop student proficiency in the diverse aspects of retailing. The course includes specific areas of study, such as: store site location, store layout, product line selection, buying price, selling, advertising and financial management. This class is designed for those going into retail as well as those students planning to enter business that deal with retail merchants, i.e., wholesalers, advertising media, insurance agencies, accounting firms and other service areas. The equivalent of this course in content and objectives may also be offered on the Internet.
