HOSPITALITY WORKSITE LEARNING - 1-4 Units  (F/S)

 

 

 
Corequisite Students must be concurrently enrolled or have completed one of the following course with a grade of C or higher: CULA 45 or 46, HOSP 10, HOSP 20, HOSP 30, HOSP 35, HOSP 40, HOSP 50,  or HOSP 60.
Limitation on Enrollment: During the regular semesters, students must enroll in a minimum of seven units including the Worksite Learning course. During summer sessions, students must enroll in one other class in addition to the Worksite Learning course.
Note: This course may be repeated three times for a maximum of 16 units or four total enrollments since course content varies and skills are enhanced by supervised repetition and practice.
Class Hours: 75 hours paid or 60 hours non-paid per unit.
Description: Employment on approved jobs related to the student's major. All WSL classes are supervised by a faculty member to ensure that the work experience is of educational value. The course stresses good work habits and meeting of SCANS competencies through actual job performance.
