CISCO NETWORKING CCNA 1 - NETWORKING FUNDAMENTALS - 3 Units  (F)

 

 

 
Advisory: A grade of C or higher in CIS 2 ART
Class Hours: 45 lecture/27 lab total
Description: This course is the first in a four-course series designed to to prepare students for the Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) exam. This course if offered by Shasta College as the Cisco Regional Networking Academy in the region. Instructional materials developed by by Cisco Systems are utilized for the course. This course covers the fundamentals of computer networking. Specific topics will include: OSI Model, industry standards, networking protocols, networking components and media, IP addressing, subnet masking, networking topologies, LAN design, cables and jacks, power and noise, network installation, network management and troubleshooting, introduction to routing and routing protocols.
