   Southern Oregon University (SOU) is one of seven colleges and universities that comprise the Oregon State System of Higher Education. The university is a liberal arts institution fully accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges. The physical campus is located in Ashland, Oregon and the campus shares commitment to the Redding community through Jefferson Public Radio and the Cascade Theater.

Program Description
The Criminology and Criminal Justice Degree Completion Program provides an opportunity for working people who have completed approximately two years of college coursework to complete a bachelor’s degree.  Students can continue to work while completing courses entirely on the internet.

   1. General Education: Completion of CSU General Education or IGETC certification. 

   2. Major Preparation: Completion of the following courses,

Program to be offered beginning: Fall 2005

   Upper division coursework can be completed in two years, taking two courses per term.  180 quarter credits are necessary to graduate, a minimum of 60 of them need to be upper division.  Students will need to complete the 11 CCJ classes that comprise the core material along with 3 upper division synthesis courses that complete the General Education requirement at SOU.  In some cases additional upper division courses may be necessary to attain the required 60 upper division credits.
