About the CSU-Chico Professional MBA Program

California State University, Chico College of Business, in partnership with CSU, Chico Continuing Education and Shasta College, is offering a Professional Master of Business Administration in Redding.  The next cohort will begin in August 2007.

First offered at Shasta College in 1995, again in 2005, the program meets the needs of working professionals by providing convenient access to the only Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International accredited MBA in the region.

While many participants have undergraduate degrees in business, the program often attracts professionals from many disciplines. The degree is granted by CSU, Chico as a Master of Business Administration and maintains the same rigor and accreditation standards as the MBA taught during the academic year on the Chico campus.

Goal
The goal of the Professional MBA program is to deliver a high quality graduate program that will prepare participants for managerial success in the ever-changing international marketplace. The curriculum is focused on the real-world application of theory and best business practices to give candidates the knowledge and skills required to proactively manage both small and large enterprises.
Students will work together with the faculty as a cohort and proceed through the courses together as a group. The cohort model helps create a community of learning and acts as a foundation for future professional networking. Students will have direct access to contemporary enterprise management tools and faculty known for their professional and scholarly contributions to the field of business.

Schedule
Courses in the two-year, 30-unit MBA program will be scheduled in an accelerated, year-round Saturday format. Courses are taught sequentially, meeting eight times over a period of nine weeks.

Delivery
Classes will be delivered through live on-site lectures and two-way video teleconferencing originating from Shasta College and the Chico campus. Participants can elect to attend courses in Redding or Chico.
