Lower Division Prerequisites
Students preparing to transfer to CSU Chico for the B.S. in
Business through the University Center in Redding, should first complete the
following 60 semester units:
Business major prerequisites (24 units):
BUAD 10 Introduction to Business
ACCT 2 Financial Accounting
ACCT 4 Managerial Accounting
ECON 1A Principles of Economics (Micro)
ECON 1B Principles of Economics (Macro)
MATH 8 Finite Mathematics
MATH 14 Introduction to Statistics
BUAD 6 Business Law (BLAW 302 at CSU Chico)
General Education (35-42 additional units):
ENGL 1A, Speech, Critical Thinking, Physical Science, Life Science,
Arts/Humanities (three courses), U.S. History, Political Science 2, Lifelong
Understanding. Ethnic and Non-western requirements, two courses, may be
double-counted. (See CSU GE planning sheet or www.assist.org.)
Courses taken at other colleges may be equivalent, see a counselor for an
evaluation of your transcript.
