Repaso para el Examen Capítulos 1-2

 

I.  Comprensión auditiva

   

            You will have a picture of an identity card and will have to answer questions about the information on the card.   Review all the questions for asking names, ages, origin, and marital status.

 

            On the second part of the listening section there will be an incomplete schedule.  You will need to listen to the times and dates of certain classes and fill them into the schedule.  Review names of classes, telling time and the days of the week.

 

II.  Lectura y escritura

 

            Be able to describe the weather and list the months that are associated with each season.  Study the seasons, months of the years and all the ways to talk about the weather.

 

            You will have to state the activities you and others like to participate in.  For example, Me gusta estudiar español.  A mi madre le gusta trabajar.  A Joaquín y Enrique  les  gusta esquiar….

 

            There is a section using ir + a + infinitive to talk about things you and others are planning on doing.  For example, Yo voy a estudiar este fin de semana pero mi hermano va a ver el  concierto de Enrique Iglesias.

 

            Be able to conjugate verbs in the present tense.  Can you conjugate leer, vivir and hablar?

 

            Throughout the exam you will need to use all the new vocabulary, by either comprehending the sentences you are reading or by writing your own sentences.  Be sure to go over all the vocabulary very carefully.

 

            Can you tell time in Spanish?  Good, because you will need to understand times you hear, see, and you will need to be able to write out the time.  For example, you see 10:25 and you write Son las diez y veinticinco.

 

            There will be weather forecasts, schedules, television guides and other readings that you will need to scan for information to answer questions in Spanish. 

 

            There is a composition section in which you will need to be able to write a paragraph about one of the topics covered in chapters one and two.
