BOARD UPDATE
11/13/2002
Milestones completed to date include going LIVE with both Finance and
Human Resources on July 1, 2002. Payroll processing also began on the
Colleague System in July.
Looking forward, Curriculum goes LIVE in December, Financial Aid and
Admissions in January, and Accounts Receivable and the Registration system
in March.
We will begin registering students for the Summer Session 2003 in April of
next year.
Question: How firm are these dates? (P. Hunn)
Answer: The dates are solid. We brought in a Datatel consultant last
week to evaluate and report on our status and validate our plan and dates.
There were no “showstoppers” identified. We will be bringing him back out
late in December to help us insure that we are still on track. (D. Meline)
Question: Does this include Web Registration? (C. Beck)
Answer: Not the first registration cycle. We plan to have at least
one registration cycle to insure that everything works well before we open
it up to students to self-register using the Web. That means that Fall ’03
is possible but Spring ’04 is more likely for us to turn on Web
Registration. (D. Meline)
Question: Can the Board get a copy of the consultants report and
continue to receive monthly updates? (R. Pratt)
